Jagdeep
Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jaffrey (29 March 1939 – 8 July 2020), better known by his stage name Jagdeep, was an Indian actor and comedian who appeared in more than 400 films. He played Soorma Bhopali in ''Sholay'' (1975), Machchar in '' Purana Mandir'' (1983), Salman Khan's dad in '' Andaz Apna Apna'' (1994) and directed the movie ''Soorma Bhopali'', with his character as the protagonist. Jagdeep started his film career as a child artist extra in B. R. Chopra's '' Afsana'', then went on to do films as a child artist in films like ''Ab Dilli Door Nahin'', K. A. Abbas's '' Munna'', Guru Dutt's ''Aar Paar'', Bimal Roy's '' Do Bigha Zamin'' and AVM's ''Hum Panchhi Ek Daal Ke''. He was launched as a leading man by AVM in the films '' Bhabhi'', '' Barkha'' and '' Bindiya'', and went on to do a few more films as a leading man. Soorma Bhopali
''Soorma Bhopali'' is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language film produced by Naved and directed by Jagdeep, who previously played Soorma Bhopali in the movie ''Sholay''. This film is one of the earliest works for the music director duo Dilip Sen – Sameer Sen. One of the last released songs of Mohammed Rafi "Makhmal Ho Ya Taat Ka Parda" is in this film, picturised on Danny Denzongpa. Plot Soorma Bhopali is the owner of a Timber mart. ''Sholay'' (, ) is a 1975 Indian Hindi-language action-adventure film directed by Ramesh Sippy, produced by his father G. P. Sippy, and written by Salim–Javed. The film is about two criminals, Veeru (Dharmendra) and Jai (Amitabh Bachchan), hired by a retired police officer ( Sanjeev Kumar) to capture the ruthless dacoit Gabbar Singh ( Amjad Khan). ''Munna'' also called ''The Lost Child'' is a 1954 Hindi social drama film produced and directed by K. A. Abbas for the Naya Sansar banner. The story was written by Abbas with photography by Ramchandra. The music director was Anil Biswas though there were no songs in the film. Master Romi played Munna and the actor Jagdeep appeared as a child artist in the film. Syed Jaaved Ahmed Jaaferi (born 4 December 1963) is an Indian actor, dancer, and comedian who has appeared in Hindi films and television shows. He is son of the comedian Jagdeep. He joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in March, 2014 and contested the 2014 Indian general election from the Lucknow constituency, finishing fifth. Professional work Javed Jaffrey is the son of comedian Jagdeep. He dubbed Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Don Karnage in Hindi for Disney and scripted the Hindi version of Disney's Jungle Book 2 and Pixar The Incredibles as well as voicing the antagonist. ''Bindya'' () is a 1960 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Krishnan–Panju and produced by M. Saravanan. It is a remake of the Tamil film '' Deivapiravi'', released early the same year. Bhabhi is a 1957 Hindi film directed by Krishnan–Panju for AVM Productions. It starred Balraj Sahni, Pandari Bai and Nanda in pivotal roles. The film went on to become the eighth highest grossing Bollywood film of the year. The film was a remake of the 1954 Bengali film ''Banga Gora'', which in turn was based on the novel ''Bijila'' by Prabhavathi Devi Saraswathi.
