Jagdalpur is a city in Bastar district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. Jagdalpur is the administrative headquarters of Bastar District and Bastar Division. It was earlier the capital of the former princely state of Bastar. It is the fourth largest city of Chhattisgarh.The city is commercial, financial and political center of hub for South Chhattisgarh. Jagdalpur Airport
Jagdalpur Airport , also known as Maa Danteswari Airport, is a regional airport located near Jagdalpur, in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) conducted a pre-feasibility study in July 2013 for development of the airport and approved of operations of aircraft under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) conditions. The airport was chosen for an upgrade under the Government's UDAN scheme and the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a terminal building was performed in January 2017. The airfield was upgraded to 3C category in 2019, allowing the operations of ATR-72 type of aircraft. On 21 September 2020, Alliance Air started flights to Hyderabad and Raipur using an ATR-72 aircraft. Currently, Jagdalpur airport name changed to Maa Danteshwari Airport on 21 September 2020. Chitrakote Falls

Bastar State
Bastar state was a princely state in India during the British Raj. It was founded in the early 14th century by Annamaraja, a brother of the last ruler of the Kakatiya dynasty, Prataparudra II. It is today used to refer the same region, called Bastar division in Chhattisgarh state. In the early 19th century the state became part of the Central Provinces and Berar under the British Raj, and acceded to the Union of India on 1 January 1948, to become part of the Madhya Pradesh in 1956, and later part of the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh state in 2000. The Teerathgarh Falls is all season tourism's site and a good photography place waterfall near Jagdalpur at Kanger Ghati in Bastar district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The falls The Teerathgarh Falls is a block type waterfall on the Kanger River. The water plunges in a single drop. Location It is located at a distance of south-west of Jagdalpur.
