Jacques Mézard
Jacques Mézard (born 3 December 1947) is a French lawyer and politician of the Radical Party of the Left who has been serving as a member of the Constitutional Council since 2019. He previously served as Minister of Agriculture and Food in 2017 and Minister of Territorial Cohesion from 2017 to 2018. A member of the Radical Party of the Left (PRG), he was a Senator representing the Cantal department from 2008 to 2017 and again from 2018 until 2019. Early life Jacques Mézard was born in Aurillac. He graduated from Panthéon-Assas University in Paris, where he received a law degree. Career From 1971 to 1976, he worked as a lawyer in Paris and taught law at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University.
