Raphaël Jacquelin (born 8 May 1974) is a French professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Career Jacquelin was born in Lyon. He turned professional in 1995, after winning the French Amateur Championship. Jacquelin began his professional career on the Challenge Tour. In 1997 he claimed two wins on his way to fourth on the season ending money list, which was sufficient to grant him full playing privileges on the European Tour for the following season. Jacquelin had to wait for his first title at the top level, eventually winning on his 238th European Tour start at the 2005 Madrid Open (golf), Open de Madrid. His second victory came in 2007 at the BMW Asian Open. His best finish on the Order of Merit to date has been 20th in 2003. During part of 2007 and 2008 Jacquelin was the highest ranked French golfer on the Official World Golf Ranking. Lawrence Jacquelin (July 13, 1923 – November 25, 1992) was an American NASCAR driver. Life and career Jacquelin was born on July 13, 1923, in New Haven, Connecticut. He was a fan of car racing and a stunt driver with cars and motorcycles. On September 14, 1952, Jacquelin competed in his first and only Cup Series event, at Langhorne Speedway, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Starting 39th in the forty-four car field, Jacquelin fell out after 34 laps due to overheating problems, resulting in a 41st-place effort. Shortly after, Jacquelin was struck with polio and only made a partial recovery. In his later years the lingering effects of polio worsened and finally took his life. Jacquelin Holzman (born 1935) is a Canadian politician who served as the 55th mayor of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, from 1991 to 1997. Before that, she was an Ottawa city councillor from 1982 to 1991. Early life and advocacy Holzman was born in Ottawa, Ontario to parents Sally Feldman and Israel Feldman. She has one sister, Evelyn Greenberg. The Tomb Effigy of Jacquelin de Ferrière is usually on display in the Medieval Art Gallery of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The effigy is of the French knight, Sir Jacquelin de Ferrière, who was from Montargis, near Sens in northern France. The effigy is dated between 1275-1300 CE. It is long, wide, and deep, and carved into a flat limestone slab, which now has a wooden frame. Effigies were often commissioned by the nobles or their families, as a means of remembrance. They would normally be found covering the sarcophagi of the knight, or installed in or near a church that the family were patrons of.
