Jacobs High School
Harry D. Jacobs High School (commonly referred to as Jacobs or HDJ) is a public high school for students in grades 9 through 12 located in Algonquin, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, serving students from the west half of the Village of Algonquin and its surrounding areas, including Lake in the Hills, Gilberts, some of Sleepy Hollow, some of Carpentersville, and some of West Dundee. The school is located in McHenry County but also draws students from Northern Kane County. Harry D. Jacobs High School is part of Community Unit School District 300, and one of three high schools serving the district. Feeder schools to Jacobs include Westfield Community School and Dundee Middle School (partial). Cameron Krutwig
Cameron Krutwig (born December 21, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Ibaraki Robots of the Japanese B.League . He played college basketball for the Loyola Ramblers. Krutwig drew national attention after helping the 2017–18 Ramblers reach the Final Four of the 2018 NCAA tournament. High school career His older brother Conrad played collegiately at South Dakota. Evan Reese Jager (born March 8, 1989) is an American distance runner. He won the silver medal in the 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2016 Rio Olympics and a bronze at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics. Ryan Hartman (born September 20, 1994) is an American professional ice hockey forward for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) is an association that regulates competition of interscholastic sports and some interscholastic activities at the high school level for the state of Illinois. It is a charter member of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). The IHSA regulates 14 sports for boys, 15 sports for girls, and eight co-educational non-athletic activities.
