Evan Reese Jager (born March 8, 1989) is an American Long-distance running, distance Running, runner. He won the silver medal in the 3000 metres steeplechase at the Athletics at the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 Rio Olympics and a bronze at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics. Jager is the current List of North, Central American and Caribbean records in athletics, NACAC area record holder in the event with a time of 8:00.45, which makes him the 16th fastest performer in its history. He is sponsored by Nike, Inc., Nike and is coached by Jerry Schumacher in the Bowerman Track Club. Running career High school Jager attended Harry D. The 2014 IAAF Continental Cup was an international track and field sporting event that was held in Marrakech, Morocco, on 13–14 September 2014. The IAAF Continental Cup was an international track and field competition organized by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
