Jacob Ramm
Jacob Ramm (18 November 1890 – 31 October 1982) was a Norwegian dentist and organizational leader. He was born in Kristiania to wholesaler Herman Ramson and Klara Schattenstein. He graduated as dentist in 1914, and practiced as dentist in Kristiania (later Oslo) as well as a period in Rjukan. He was appointed secretary and eventually secretary general for the dentists' trade union, . Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. Daniel Eie
Daniel Eie (24 April 1889 – 28 May 1961) was a Norwegian sports official. He was a member of the boys' clubs Spring and Løp as a child, but joined SFK Lyn in 1906. He served as vice president of the Football Association of Norway at the age of 21, in 1911. He was then the president from 1916 to 1918, and later returned to the post in 1927 and 1928.Amundsen, 1936: pp. 212–213 By then he was also Norway's representative in FIFA. He also refereed the 1914 Norwegian Football Cup final. From 1915 to 1918 he was a board member of Norges Riksforbund for Idræt, then vice president until 1919. Per Skou
Per Skou (20 May 1891 – 24 February 1962) was a Norwegian footballer, sports official and businessperson. He was born in Skien. He played left back for Odd and Lyn, and became Norwegian cup champion three times – with Lyn in 1911 and with Odd in 1913 and 1915. He was capped 41 times for the Norwegian national team. Rjukan
Rjukan () is a town and the administrative centre of Tinn municipality in Telemark, Norway. It is situated in Vestfjorddalen, between Møsvatn and Lake Tinn, and got its name after Rjukan Falls west of the town. The Tinn municipality council granted township status for Rjukan in 1996. The town has 3,386 inhabitants (January 2007). History Rjukan was formerly a significant industrial centre in Telemark, and the town was established between 1905 and 1916, when Norsk Hydro started saltpetre (fertilizer) production there. Rjukan was chosen because Rjukan Falls, a 104-metre waterfall, provided easy means of generating large quantities of electricity. The man with the idea to use the Rjukan falls was Sam Eyde, the founder of Hydro. Halfdan Ditlev-Simonsen (15 February 1894 – 24 February 1962) was a Norwegian multi-sportsman, sports executive and ship-owner. Early life He was a son of ship-owner Olaf Ditlev-Simonsen. He finished secondary education in 1911, attended a mercantile school and underwent training as an average adjuster and shipbroker. Ship career He worked as a ship-owner out of Kristiania from 1914.
