Jack And Jacques
''Jack and Jacques'' (french: Jack et Jacques) is a Canadian short drama film, directed by Marie-Hélène Copti and released in 2006. The film stars Pierre Lebeau as Jacques Jobin, a mediocre actor from Quebec who has been cast in a small part as a Native American in a Western film starring Jack Nicholson, and is being interviewed by student filmmakers Pat Beauséjour (François Bernier) and Annie St-Gelais (Guillermina Kerwin) about his experiences on set and his hopes that the role will provide the career breakthrough that's always eluded him. The film premiered at the 2006 Montreal World Film Festival, where it won the award for Most Popular Canadian Short Film. Pierre Lebeau
Pierre Lebeau (born 22 July 1954) is a Canadian actor. He is best known for major roles in Quebec big-box movies such as ''Séraphin: Heart of Stone'' and the four-part ''Les Boys'' series. Life and career His acting career started on the theatrical scene in 1975, after being graduated from the National Theatre School. He played in various plays until the 1990s and one television series in 1978. However it was in 1997 that his career became more prominent with his first major role in ''Les Boys'', playing the role of Meo, who is a friend of Stan (played by Rémy Girard) and businessman in which threaten to take Stan's bar if his garage league hockey team did not defeat this own squad made consisting of several tough players, albeit the Boys had defeated Meo's team. Genie Award
The Genie Awards were given out annually by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television to recognize the best of Canadian cinema from 1980–2012. They succeeded the Canadian Film Awards (1949–1978; also known as the "Etrog Awards," for sculptor Sorel Etrog, who designed the statuette). Genie Award candidates were selected from submissions made by the owners of Canadian films or their representatives, based on the criteria laid out in the ''Genie Rules and Regulations'' booklet which is distributed to Academy members and industry members.
