Jack Barry (baseball)
John Joseph Barry (April 26, 1887 – April 23, 1961) was an American shortstop, second baseman, and manager in Major League Baseball, and later a college baseball coach. From through , Barry played for the Philadelphia Athletics (1908–15) and Boston Red Sox (1915–19). Philadelphia Athletics Born in Meriden, Connecticut, Barry spent his nearly entire tenure in the big leagues on winning teams, first the Philadelphia Athletics and later the Boston Red Sox. Athletics manager Connie Mack signed Barry off the campus of the College of the Holy Cross to play shortstop on what would become his famous $100,000 infield. The unit, one of the most famous groups of teammates in baseball history, consisted of first baseman Stuffy McInnis, second baseman Eddie Collins, and third baseman Frank Baker. Jack Barry (Gaelic Footballer)
Jack Barry (born 24 December 1994) is a Gaelic footballer who plays for the Na Gaeil club and the Kerry county team. Underage Barry played for the Kerry minor team in 2012 and the 2015 under-21 team, bit had little success in either grade. He made his league debut against Donegal in 2017 and his senior championship debut against Clare in 2017. Barry started for Kerry in the 2019 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final drawn game, departing late on with an injury, but was back for the start of the replay. Jack Barry (born Jack Barasch; March 20, 1918 – May 2, 1984) was an American game show host, television personality and executive who made a name for himself in the game show field. Barry served as host of several game shows in his career, many of which he developed along with Dan Enright as part of their joint operation Barry & Enright Productions. Barry's reputation became tarnished due to his involvement in the 1950s quiz show scandals and the ensuing fallout affected his career for over a decade. Early life and career Barry was born and raised in Lindenhurst, New York, on Long Island. His family was Jewish. John Charles "Shad" Barry (October 27, 1878 – November 27, 1936), known also as "Jack" Barry, was an American professional baseball player who spent ten seasons, from 1899 to 1909, in Major League Baseball. Barry was a utility player, having played every position with the exception of catcher and pitcher during his career. Early life Barry was born in Newburgh, New York. Barry attended Niagara University. Career Barry began his major league career with the Washington Senators in 1899.
