Jaba, Kaduna
Jaba is a Local Government Area in southern Kaduna State, Nigeria. It covers an area of 531 km2. It is located close to the Jos Plateau region and Abuja in the central part of Nigeria in West Africa. The local government capital is in the town of Kwoi. The postal code of the area is 801. The Chairman of the local government oversee both economic and developmental activities in the area. Etymology It is named after a local Hausa word used to describe the Ham people who occupy most of the local government. The Ham people describe the word as derogatory. History The Local Government was created on the 27th of August 1991. It was carved out from Jema'a Local Government Area. Kachia Hausa Fulani and Kadara and Jaba is a Local Government Area in the southern part of Kaduna State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Kachia. Usman Mu'azu
Air Vice-Marshal (retired) Usman Mu'azu (1942–2008) was the military governor of Kaduna State, Nigeria from January 1984 to August 1985, during the military regime of General Muhammadu Buhari. Mu'azu was born in Kwoi, Jaba Local Government Area, Kaduna State in 1942. He attended Provincial Secondary School, Zaria and then the Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He attended the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, and had further training in West Germany and the United States of America. Yahaya Maikori is a Nigerian entertainment lawyer. He is the founder of the law firm Law Allianz and the co-founder of the record label Chocolate City. Education Yahaya Maikori is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University. He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from Nigerian Law School in 1993, and gained admission to the Nigerian Bar Association. Adamu Maikori
Adamu Audu Maikori (1942 – 8 September 2020) was a Nigerian lawyer, banker and politician. In mid-September 2020, the Fundamental Rights in the Nigeria constitution was translated into his mother tongue, Hyam, by the Kaduna-based firm, ''House of Justice'' in his honour as the first indigenous lawyer from Southern Kaduna. Kafanchan

Nok Culture
The Nok culture (or Nok civilization) is a population whose material remains are named after the Ham village of Nok in Kaduna State of Nigeria, where their terracotta sculptures were first discovered in 1928. The Nok culture appeared in Nigeria around 1500 BC and vanished under unknown circumstances around 500 AD, having lasted approximately 2,000 years. Iron use, in smelting and forging tools, appears in Nok culture by at least 550 BC and possibly a few centuries earlier. Data from historical linguistics suggest that iron smelting was independently discovered in the region by 1000 BC. Kyoli Language
The Kyoli or Cori (Chori) language is a Plateau language spoken in Southern Kaduna State, Nigeria. Overview It is spoken in the northeast of Nok in Jaba Local Government Area (LGA), Kaduna State. The speakers prefer to spell the name of their language as Kyoli, which is pronounced jolior §joli The ethnic group is referred to as Kwoli. There are about 7,000-8,000 Kyoli speakers living in the two village clusters of Hal-Kyoli and Bobang. Bobang is the cultural center of the Kyoli-speaking area.
