Mahmoud Guendouz
Mahmoud Guendouz (born February 24, 1953 in El Harrach) is an Algerian former footballer and coach. A stalwart of the Algerian national team during its greatest period on the world stage, he appeared at the 1980 Olympics as well as the FIFA World Cups of 1982 and 1986. As a club player he was largely based in his homeland, although he also appeared for FC Martigues in France. Career Guendouz played every minute of Algeria's World Cup finals campaign of 1982 and was solid in a campaign in which ''les Fennecs'' won two games out of three and only missed out on the second round due to goal difference. He did blot his copy book, however, with a foul on Patricio Yáñez in the game against Chile, with Miguel Ángel Neira scoring from the resulting penalty. Abderrahmane Soukhane
Abderrahmane Soukane (13 September 1936 – 5 July 2015) was an Algerian footballer who played as a striker. Biography Soukane was born in 1936 in El Biar, Algiers, Algeria. Nicknamed Soukane II, he started his playing career in the junior ranks of JS El Biar. At the age of 20, he joined French club Le Havre AC, playing with the club for 8 seasons. He helped the team reach the top flight of French football in 1959, winning the Division 2 Championship. However, after three seasons, Le Havre was relegated again to the second division. Soukane stayed with the club until 1964, when the professional section of the club was disbanded. In his final season with Le Havre, he would finish as the top scorer in Ligue 2 with 21 goals, the first African to do so. In 1964, he joined Toulouse FC after discussions with long-time FLN teammate Kader Firoud who was announced as coach of the team. Rabah Saâdane ( ar, رابح سعدان; born 3 May 1946) is an Algerian football manager and retired professional player whose playing career was abruptly interrupted at the age of 27 by a car accident. His last management job was of the Algerian national team before resigning in September 2010. It was his fifth separate spell in charge of the team after earlier stints between 1981 and 2004 and was arguably his most successful, given its arduous qualification process. He was in charge when the U-20s qualified for the 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship, Algeria's first participation in a major tournament.
