Jānis Porziņģis
Jānis Porziņģis (born 13 July 1982) is a Latvian former professional basketball player. At a height of , he played at the small forward position. He is the older brother of Washington Wizards forward Kristaps Porziņģis. Professional playing career Porziņģis played for fifteen different teams, in multiple European national domestic leagues over a fourteen-year career. He officially retired from playing professional basketball in 2015, after having last played in 2013. National team career Porziņģis also made a few appearances with the senior Latvian national team. Liepāja (; liv, Līepõ; see #Names and toponymy, other names) is a state city in western Latvia, located on the Baltic Sea. Kristaps Porziņģis (; born 2 August 1995) is a Latvian professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is one of the tallest active players in the NBA, standing at tall, and plays both the power forward and center positions. Born in Liepāja, Porziņģis began his professional career with Sevilla in 2012. Porziņģis quickly rose through the team's youth ranks and became the figurehead of the senior team by 2013.
