Jürgen Ohlsen
Jürgen Ohlsen (15 March 1917 – 23 September 1994) was a German actor best remembered for portraying "Heini "Quex" Völker" in the 1933 Nazi propaganda film ''Hitlerjunge Quex'' (''Our Flag Leads Us Forward''). Career Ohlsen was born in Schöneberg, Berlin, Germany on 15 March 1917. Due to the illness of actor Hermann Braun, Ohlsen inherited the leading role of Heini Völker (nicknamed 'Quex') in ''Hitlerjunge Quex'' (''Our Flag Leads Us Forward'', 1933). Units of the Berlin Hitler Youth also joined the cast of the film. Ohlsen himself was only credited as ''Ein Hitlerjunge'' (a Hitler Youth member). The film, based on the popular propaganda novel '' Der Hitlerjunge Quex'', which was in turned based on the real-life murder of Hitler Youth member Herbert Norkus, was highly successful in Germany at the time. Schöneberg
Schöneberg () is a locality of Berlin, Germany. Until Berlin's 2001 administrative reform it was a separate borough including the locality of Friedenau. Together with the former borough of Tempelhof it is now part of the new borough of Tempelhof-Schöneberg. History The village was first documented in a 1264 deed issued by Margrave Otto III of Brandenburg. In 1751, Bohemian weavers founded Neu-Schöneberg also known as Böhmisch-Schöneberg along northern Hauptstraße. Hans Steinhoff (10 March 1882 – 20 April 1945) was a German film director, best known for the propaganda films he made in the Nazi era. Life and career Steinhoff started his career as a stage actor in the 1900s and later worked as a stage director. He directed his first silent film ''Clothes Make the Man (1921 film), Clothes Make the Man'', the adaption of a novel by Gottfried Keller, in 1921. Steinhoff was a convinced Nazi and directed many propaganda films, he sometimes even wore his Nazi party membership button on the film set. His most notable films were perhaps ''Hitlerjunge Quex (film), Hitlerjunge Quex'' (1933), an influential propaganda film for the Hitler Youth, and ''Ohm Krüger'' (1940), for which he won the Mussolini Cup at the 1941 Venice Film Festival.
