Jüngling is a surname of German origin. It has been anglicized as Juengling, Jungling, Yuengling, Yungling, and Yingling. Branches of this family currently exist throughout Europe, mostly concentrated in Germany, and in the United States. In Hungary, members of the Jüngling family are considered part of the nobility. Gesang Der Jünglinge
''Gesang der Jünglinge'' (literally "Song of the Youths") is an electronic music work by Karlheinz Stockhausen. It was realized in 1955–56 at the Westdeutscher Rundfunk studio in Cologne and is Work Number 8 in the composer's catalog. The vocal parts were supplied by 12-year-old Josef Protschka. It is exactly 13 minutes, 14 seconds long. The work, routinely described as "the first masterpiece of electronic music" and "an opus, in the most emphatic sense of the term", is significant in that it seamlessly integrates electronic sounds with the human voice by means of matching voice resonances with pitch and creating sounds of phonemes electronically. The Youth of Magdalensberg was an ancient Roman bronze statue dating to the first century BC, missing since approximately 1810 and now presumed lost, that was discovered in 1502 at the Carinthian mountain Magdalensberg, once a major late Celtic and early Roman city of Noricum. It is known today primarily from a sixteenth-century cast now held at the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna (Inventory # VI 1), which until 1986 was mistakenly regarded as the original. Until the twentieth century, the statue was also known as the ''Youth of Helenenberg'' from the old name for Magdalensberg. Frederick Juengling
Frederick Juengling (born Friedrich Jüngling, 8 October 1846 – 31 December 1889) was an American wood engraver and painter. Biography Juengling was born in Leipzig, Germany. He obtained a common school education until the age of 14 in Leipzig. Juengling then worked as an apprentice to an engraver in Berlin before emigrating to the United States in 1866. He studied painting at the Art Students' League in New York City, adopted art as a profession, and attained much recognition as a wood engraver. He was a founder of the American Society of Wood Engravers, its first secretary 1881–1882, and was vice-president of the Art Students' League 1882–1883. He received honorable mention at the Paris Salon in 1881, and a second-class medal at an international exhibition of fine arts held in Munich in 1883. He taught engravers in his own studio. The Ynglings were a dynasty of kings, first in Sweden and later in Norway, primarily attested through the poem ''Ynglingatal''. The dynasty also appears as Scylfings (Old Norse ''Skilfingar'') in ''Beowulf''. Yuengling Center (formerly the USF Sun Dome) is an indoor arena on the main campus of the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, Florida. Construction began in November 1977, and it opened on November 29, 1980.
