Jørun Drevland
Jørun Adeleid Drevland (born 15 March 1944) is a Norwegian politician for the Socialist Left Party. She served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Nordland during the term 1993–1997. She met during 7 days of parliamentary session. She hails from Sortland, and in 2012 she worked with artist Bjørn Elvenes on an initiative to paint the town blue as an art project. Nordland (; smj, Nordlánnda, sma, Nordlaante, sme, Nordlánda, en, Northland) is a county in Norway in the Northern Norway region, the least populous of all 11 counties, bordering Troms og Finnmark in the north, Trøndelag in the south, Norrbotten County in Sweden to the east, Västerbotten County to the south-east, and the Atlantic Ocean (Norwegian Sea) to the west. Sortland
or is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Vesterålen. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Sortland. Other population centres in Sortland include Bø, Holand, Holmstad, Liland, Sigerfjord, Strand, and Vik. The Norwegian Coast Guard has its northern base in Sortland, called ''Kystvaktskvadron Nord''. In 1997, the municipal council declared " town status" for the urban area of Sortland. Sortland is the largest town and commercial centre in Vesterålen. Sivert Høyem (born 22 January 1976) is a Norwegian musician, best known as the vocalist of the rock band Madrugada. After the band broke up following the death of Robert Burås in 2007, he has enjoyed success as a solo artist and is also a member of The Volunteers with whom he released the album ''Exiles'' in 2006. Early and personal life Høyem is a son of forestry teacher Asbjørn Høyem and politician Jørun Drevland. He hails from Kleiva in Sortland, and attended Sortland Upper Secondary School before moving to Oslo in 1995. Whilst pursuing a music career he minored in history at the University of Oslo. Music career Madrugada Høyem rose to fame in the late 1990s when Madrugada made their Norwegian breakthrough with debut album Industrial Silence.
