Jô Bilac
Jô Bilac, (born 1985 as ''Giovanni Ramalho Bilac'') is a Brazilian playwright, he debuted in 2006 as a professional playwright. Bilac has an Indian father and a Brazilian mother and spent most of his childhood in Madrid, Spain. When he returned to Brazil he lived with his family in the Rio de Janeiro area of Urca and got his first contact with the world of theater with plays staged at the Colégio Andrews. Later he started studying theater at FAETEC in Niterói and also Escola de Teatro Martins Pena. At the age of nineteen he wrote his first play, ''Sangue na caixa de areia''. In 2006 he made his debut as a professional playwright at the culture center Sérgio Porto with the play ''Bruxarias urbanas''. In 2007, he wrote the comedy ''Desperadas'', the same year he made ''2 p/ viagem'' and ''Cachorro!''; the last one was played at the Companhia Teatro Independente. João Alves de Assis Silva (born 20 March 1987), known as Jô () or João Alves, is a Brazilian professional footballer. He has previously played for Nagoya Grampus, CSKA Moscow, Manchester City, Everton, Galatasaray, Internacional, Atlético Mineiro and Nagoya Grampus Eight. Jô made his full international debut for Brazil in 2007, and was in the squads which took bronze at the 2008 Olympics and won the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, and also played at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Playwright
A playwright or dramatist is a person who writes plays. Etymology The word "play" is from Middle English pleye, from Old English plæġ, pleġa, plæġa ("play, exercise; sport, game; drama, applause"). The word "wright" is an archaic English term for a craftsman or builder (as in a wheelwright or cartwright). Urca
Urca is a traditional and wealthy residential neighborhood with nearly 7,000 inhabitants (2000 census) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Although most of the neighborhood dates from the 1920s, parts of it are much older. What is now called the Forte São João, a military base at the foot of the Sugarloaf Mountain, is where the first Portuguese settlement in Rio was founded by Estácio de Sá on March 1, 1565. The French had arrived 12 years earlier and founded a settlement, called France Antarctique, close to what is now Flamengo and Gloria districts, in downtown Rio. Botafogo
Botafogo (local/standard alternative Brazilian Portuguese pronunciation: ) is a beachfront neighborhood (''bairro'') in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is a mostly upper middle class and small commerce community, and is located between the hills of Mundo Novo, Dona Marta (which separates it from Laranjeiras) and São João (which separates it from Copacabana). The word Botafogo also refers to a Latin American ballroom dance move, named so because the area of Botafogo is where it originated.
