Jérôme Samson
Jérôme Samson (born September 4, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Carolina Hurricanes. Playing career Undrafted, Samson was signed by the Carolina Hurricanes on July 2, 2007. During the 2009–10 season, Samson made his NHL debut with the Hurricanes and assisted on a Rod Brind'Amour goal on his first shift against the Nashville Predators on January 7, 2010. He scored his first NHL goal on January 10, 2012 against Sergei Bobrovsky of the Philadelphia Flyers. On July 5, 2013, Samson left the Hurricanes organization as a free agent and signed a one-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets. In his single season in 2013–14 within the Jets organization, Samson was assigned to AHL affiliate, the St. John's IceCaps. Greenfield Park, Quebec
Greenfield Park is a former city in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is currently a borough of the city of Longueuil. It covers an area of , with a population of 16,733 at the 2016 census of Canada. Greenfield Park is the only borough of Longueuil that has an officially bilingual status. It is primarily a post-WWI suburban area. Like the other two boroughs, most of the buildings in Greenfield Park are single-family homes. Nearly all of the land in Greenfield Park is built on, making it Longueuil's most densely populated borough. Greenfield Park is divided into two sections. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist. Players who gain an assist will get one point added to their player statistics. Despite the use of the terms "primary assist" and "secondary assist", neither is worth more than the other, and neither is worth more or less than a goal. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Typically, a player on the team attempting to score shoots the puck with their stick towards the goal net opening, and a player on the opposing team called a goaltender tries to block the shot to prevent a goal from being scored against their team. Austrian Hockey League
The ICE Hockey League (International Central European Hockey League), known as the win2day ICE Hockey League for sponsorship reasons, is a Central European hockey league that also serves as the top-tier ice hockey league in Austria, it currently features additional teams from Hungary, Italy, and Slovenia. The league was known as the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL) from 2003 until 2020 and as the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League during the 2021-22 season. The 2016–17 Deutsche Eishockey Liga season was the 23rd season since the founding of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Hamburg Freezers did not play this season due to financial reasons. Fischtown Pinguins were given the license to play in the DEL. Munich won their second consecutive title by defeating Wolfsburg in five games. Deutsche Eishockey Liga
The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called "PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga") (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a German professional ice hockey league and the highest division in German ice hockey. Founded in 1994, it was formed as a replacement for the Eishockey-Bundesliga and became the new top-tier league in Germany as a result. Unlike the old Bundesliga, the DEL is not under the administration of the German Ice Hockey Federation. The 2013–14 AHL season was the 78th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 4, 2013, and ended on April 19, 2014. The 2014 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season. The Calder Cup was won by the Texas Stars for their first Calder Cup in franchise history. Syracuse Crunch
The Syracuse Crunch are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They play in Syracuse, New York, at the Upstate Medical University Arena. They are the primary development affiliate of the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning. History Vancouver and Pittsburgh affiliations (1994–2000) The franchise originated in 1992 as the Hamilton Canucks, which was an affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks.
