Ján Orosch (born 28 May 1953, Bratislava) is a Roman Catholic prelate currently serving as the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Trnava, Archbishop of Trnava. Biography After graduating, he was ordained to the priesthood by bishop Julius Gábriš on 6 June 1976 in Bratislava. He worked Komarno, Bušince, Okoč (1982), Hodruša-Hámre (1983), Vyškovce nad Ipľom, Vyškovce Ipľom(1984), Nové Zámky(1990), Bratislava-Prievoz (1991), Bratislava-Čunovo (1992). Pope John Paul II on 2 April 2004 appointed him Auxiliary Bishop of Bratislava-Trnava and the titular bishop of Simminensis (diocese), Semina. received his episcopal ordination on 2 May 2004, together with today's Archbishop Stanislav Zvolenský in the Cathedral of SS. The Most Reverend
The Most Reverend is a style applied to certain religious figures, primarily within the historic denominations of Christianity, but occasionally in some more modern traditions also. It is a variant of the more common style "The Reverend". Eduard Heger (; born 3 May 1976) is a Slovak politician, serving as Prime Minister of Slovakia since 1 April 2021. He previously served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in the cabinet of Igor Matovič. Zuzana Čaputová, (; Strapáková; born 21 June 1973) is a Slovak politician, lawyer and environmental activist. She is the fifth president of Slovakia, a position she has held since 15 June 2019. 2022 Bratislava Shooting
On 12 October 2022, two people were killed, and a third person was wounded, in a shooting in Bratislava, Slovakia. The shooting occurred in front of the Tepláreň gay bar, a well-known spot frequented by the local LGBT community. The deceased individuals were Juraj Vankulič, a non-binary person, and Matúš Horváth, who was bisexual. The perpetrator was found dead the morning after the attack. The shooting was declared an anti-LGBT hate crime. As of 17 October 2022, it is under investigation and is classified as a terrorist attack.
