Juston Wood
Juston Wood (born December 27, 1979) is an American football coach and former quarterback who is currently an offensive analyst at Arizona State University. He played three seasons in the Arena Football League with the New York Dragons and Philadelphia Soul. He played college football at Portland State. He was also a member of the Minnesota Vikings and Central Valley Coyotes. Early years Wood played high school football and was a three-year varsity letter winner at David Douglas High School in Portland, Oregon. He also earned all-conference honors in basketball. College career Wood played for the Portland State Vikings of Portland State University from 1999 to 2002. He twice earned ADA Academic All-American honors. He was a first-team All-Big Sky Conference selection at quarterback in 2001 and honorable mention in 2002, serving as team captain both seasons. 2008 New York Dragons Season
The 2008 New York Dragons season is the 14th season for the franchise, their eighth season in New York. The Dragons finished the regular season with an 8–8 record, and were able to take the 6th and final playoff seed in the National Conference by virtue of winning a tiebreaker scenario over the New Orleans VooDoo. The Dragons won their Wild Card round game, upsetting the Dallas Desperados 77–63. The Desperados had defeated the Dragons in both regular season meetings. The 2008 Arena Football League season was the 22nd season of the Arena Football League and final season before the 2009 season cancellation and subsequent bankruptcy of the original AFL corporate entity. 2007 Arena Football League Season
The 2007 Arena Football League season was the 21st season of the Arena Football League. The regular season began play on March 1, 2007 and concluded on June 25. The league broke its regular-season total attendance record of 1,887,054. Following a year-long hiatus last year in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the New Orleans VooDoo franchise resumed play this season to return the league to a 19-team format.
