Juston Burris
Juston Burris (born August 4, 1993) is an American football safety for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at NC State and was drafted by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. High school career Burris was selected to the NCPreps.com 4A all-state and All-conference teams in his senior season. He scored 11 touchdowns and had just under 1,000 receiving yards, 40 tackles and three interceptions in his senior year. College career At NC State, Burris started 28 straight games at cornerback. As a junior, he was sixth on the team in tackles and led the team in pass break ups. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the American football positions#Defense, defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. While American (11-player) formations generally use two safeties, Canadian (12-player) formations generally have one safety and two Halfback (Canadian football), defensive halfbacks, a position not used in the American game. 2016 NFL Draft
The 2016 NFL Draft was the 81st annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players. As in 2015, the draft took place at the Auditorium Theatre and Grant Park in Chicago. The draft began on Thursday, April 28 with the first round, and ended on Saturday, April 30. Mason Rudolph (American Football)
Brett Mason Rudolph III (born July 17, 1995) is an American football quarterback who is a free agent. He played college football at Oklahoma State, where he was a three-year starter and won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award during his last year. He was selected by the Steelers in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Rudolph spent the 2018 season as the Steelers' third-string quarterback and saw no game action in the regular season. He saw starting action in 2019 after Ben Roethlisberger was injured early in the season. He would alternate starts with Devlin Hodges throughout the season.
