Justine Verdier (born in Paris) is a French pianist. Life French pianist Justine Verdier was born in 1985, in Paris. She began playing piano at the age of four and a half at the Musical Institute of Paris with Michel Denis. Verdier studied with Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg where she gained a master's degree with honors. Michel Denis
Michel Denis (born May 1, 1941, Boulogne-Billancourt) is a French jazz and blues drummer. Denis played early in his career with the Roman Dixieland Jazz Band, and worked extensively with dixieland and swing musicians such as Don Byas, Dominique Chanson, Bill Coleman, Michel De Villers, Earl Hines, Stuff Smith, and Rex Stewart. After Memphis Slim moved to Paris, Denis joined his band, working with him for eighteen years; concurrently, he also played as a sideman for Paul Gonsalves, Johnny Griffin, Claude Guilhot, John Lee Hooker, Michel Sardaby, T-Bone Walker, and Big Joe Williams. In the 1970s he played with Dany Doriz extensively. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling
Karl-Heinz Kämmerling (6 May 1930 – 14 June 2012) was a notable German academic teacher of classical pianists, who trained pianists at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover for careers as performers and academic teachers, particularly in the early training of highly gifted students. Career Kämmerling was born in Dessau and studied at the Hochschule für Musik Leipzig with Anton Rohden and Hugo Steurer. Besides teaching as a professor at the Mozarteum and in Hannover, he became a guest professor at the university of music in Zagreb in 2004 and taught master classes in Europe, the United States and Asia. Pavel Gililov
Pavel Lvovich Gililov (russian: Павел Львович Гилилов; born 23 June 1950) is a Russian classical pianist who has held German citizenship since 2003. Life Born in Donezk, Gililov's musical talent was discovered by the Russian composer Dmitry Kabalevsky. He completed his studies both in piano performance and Lied piano at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory with distinction. While still a student, he won the 1972 Moscow National Piano Competition and was eventually the 4th prize winner of the 1975 International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. He was also a laureate of the International Viotti Piano Competition in Vercelli in 1978. Gililov emigrated in 1978 from the former Soviet Union first to Austria and finally to Germany.
