Justin Roper
Justin Parks Roper (born July 28, 1987) is a former American football quarterback who played one season in the Arena Football League (AFL) with the Chicago Rush and Orlando Predators. He played college football at Oregon and Montana. Early years Roper lettered in football, basketball, track and field and swimming for the Buford High School Wolves of Buford, Georgia. He was ranked as one of the top 28 quarterbacks in the country after compiling a 12–1 record and an 8-AA league championship in 2005. College career Roper was redshirted by the Oregon Ducks of the University of Oregon in 2006. He made his first collegiate start in the 2007 Sun Bowl on December 31, 2007 against the South Florida Bulls, throwing for four touchdowns and leading the Ducks to a 56–21 victory. He finished his career at the University of Oregon with nine touchdown passes and 952 passing yards. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. 2008 Oregon Ducks Football Team
The 2008 Oregon Ducks football team represented the University of Oregon in the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. This was the final season for Mike Bellotti as the Ducks' head coach; he was promoted to become the school's athletic director after the season. The Ducks played their home games at Autzen Stadium. The 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season was the highest level of college football competition in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). 2007 Oregon Ducks Football Team
The 2007 Oregon Ducks football team represents the University of Oregon in the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Mike Bellotti and played their home games at Autzen Stadium. The Ducks rose to a national rank of number 2 in the Bowl Championship Series poll, until an injury to star quarterback Dennis Dixon led to defeat at the hands of the Arizona Wildcats on November 15, 2007. The Ducks lost to Arizona 34–24 in that game. They lost the next game to UCLA in Los Angeles as backup quarterback Brady Leaf was also knocked out of the game. The final score was 16–0. The 2007 Brut Sun Bowl, part of the 2007-08 NCAA football bowl games season, was played on December 31, 2007, at Sun Bowl Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas, El Paso, between the South Florida Bulls and the Oregon Ducks. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university.
