Justin Powell
Justin Tyler Powell (born May 9, 2001) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League. He played college basketball player for the Washington State Cougars, the Tennessee Volunteers and Auburn Tigers. High school career Powell played basketball for Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was teammates with Jay Scrubb and David Johnson. For his junior season, he transferred to Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, one of the top teams in the nation. Powell returned to his home state, moving to North Oldham High School in Goshen, Kentucky, for his senior season. He averaged 22.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, but his season was cut short by a sports hernia that required surgery. The Tennessee Volunteers Men's Basketball Team is the collegiate men's basketball program for the University of Tennessee–Knoxville. Jay Scrubb
Jayden Amari Scrubb (born September 1, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Lakeland Magic of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the John A. Logan Volunteers and was named NABC NJCAA Division I Player of the Year as a sophomore. Scrubb was selected 55th in the 2020 NBA draft. Early life Scrubb grew up on the west end of Louisville, Kentucky. He grew up rooting for his hometown team, the Louisville Cardinals. His father described his hometown as "a tougher part of town, which some would consider the hood." Scrubb's family dynamics negatively affected his academics. Concussion
A concussion, also known as a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), is a head injury that temporarily affects brain functioning. Symptoms may include loss of consciousness (LOC); memory loss; headaches; difficulty with thinking, concentration, or balance; nausea; blurred vision; sleep disturbances; and mood changes. Any of these symptoms may begin immediately, or appear days after the injury. Concussion should be suspected if a person indirectly or directly hits their head and experiences any of the symptoms of concussion. The South Alabama Jaguars men's basketball program has competed in the Sun Belt Conference since 1978 when the league was formed. Since 1968, the Jaguars have compiled an overall record of 694–507 (.580). Ronnie Arrow returned as head coach in 2007, succeeding John Pelphrey after the 2006–07 season. Athletic pubalgia, also called sports hernia, core injury, hockey hernia, hockey groin, Gilmore's groin, or groin disruption is a medical condition of the pubic joint affecting athletes.
