Justin Levinson is a singer/songwriter from Vermont. Music career The son of singer/songwriter Bob Levinson, Justin Levinson grew up in Vergennes, VT. In high school, he was introduced to Lester Bowie and Fontella Bass, who were traveling on a grant to bring jazz to rural areas. He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, accepted in part due to a letter of recommendation from Bowie. He started out studying jazz trumpet, before switching to and getting his degree in songwriting. On his earlier releases, Levinson's sound has drawn many comparisons to Ben Folds. ''1175 Boylston'' Levinson released his first album, ''1175 Boylston'', in 2006, while a student at Berklee. On the album (which was named after Levinson's address at the time), he supplied the vocals and played piano, trumpet and trombone while his father played guitar, bass and drums on some tracks, with fellow Berklee student Adam Popick supplying the remaining instruments. Apollo Sunshine was an alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. History Founding Sam Cohen, Jesse Gallagher, and Jeremy Black originally met in 1997 in Boston, where the three were attending a Berklee College of Music summer performance program. Albums The band released their first album, ''Katonah'', in 2003 on SpinART records. The album was recorded in Katonah, New York in a barn which the band converted into a studio, and produced by Andy Edelstein, a professor at Berklee. ''The Den'' (released in some countries as ''Hacked'') is a 2013 American slasher film by Zachary Donohue and his feature film directorial debut. The film was first released in Russia on December 23, 2013, and was given a simultaneous limited theatrical and VOD release on March 14, 2014 through IFC Midnight. The International Pop Overthrow (often referred to as simply The IPO) is an American-originated music festival, devoted to power pop music and related genres. The festival is dedicated to bring classic pop music to the public, and is run by CEO and founder David Bash and Rina Bardfield. North by Northeast (or NXNE) is an annual music and arts festival held each June in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The festival's main focus is live music, but it also includes an eSports gaming tournament, comedy, a conversations series, a flea market and more. The festival events happen in a variety venues with free events on Canada's largest street, Yonge Street with events on the Street and in Yonge Dundas Square.
