Justin Johnson (baseball)
Justin Johnson (born January 3, 1977) is an American baseball coach and former outfielder, who is the current head baseball coach of the UC Riverside Highlanders. He played college baseball at Mt. San Antonio College for coach Art Mazmanian from 1996 to 1997. He has also been the head coach of the Saint Katherine Firebirds (2014). Playing career Johnson attended Diamond Bar High School in Diamond Bar, California. As a senior in 1995, Johnson was drafted in the 43rd round of the 1995 Major League Baseball draft. UC Riverside Highlanders Baseball
The UC Riverside baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of the University of California, Riverside, located in Riverside, California, United States. The program has been a member of the NCAA Division I Big West Conference since the start of the 2002 season. The program's home venue is the Riverside Sports Complex, located on the university's campus. Justin Johnson serves as the team's interim head coach starting with the 2021 season. Troy Eugene Percival (born August 9, 1969) is an American baseball coach and former professional baseball pitcher. He gained fame as a closer. During a 14-year baseball career spanning from 1995 to 2009, he pitched for four Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, primarily with the California/Anaheim Angels. He was an integral part of that franchise's 2002 World Series championship team. Early career Percival started playing baseball at Moreno Valley Youth Federation (MVYF). Percival played on the Moreno Valley High School baseball team, before attending the University of California, Riverside, where he played college baseball for the Highlanders from 1987–1990. He was then drafted by the California Angels in the 6th round of the 1990 amateur draft as a catcher.
