Justin Edrich
Justin Wells Edrich (born 17 January 1961) is a former English cricketer who played in five List A matches for Suffolk County Cricket Club. He is the son of Bill Edrich and was a right-handed batsman who captained his school cricket team at Wymondham College in 1978, and then he went on to represent Suffolk (1981–1992), Middlesex 2nd XI (1980–1988), Norfolk & Suffolk (1984) and Past Suffolk (2004). Family Justin Edrich has a daughter named Alix and a son named Tom (who has captained Southgate Cricket Club in the Middlesex Premier League) . Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. List A cricket includes One Day International (ODI) matches and various domestic competitions in which the number of overs in an innings per team ranges from forty to sixty, as well as some international matches involving nations who have not achieved official ODI status. Suffolk County Cricket Club is one of twenty minor county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Suffolk. Bill Edrich
William John Edrich (26 March 1916 – 24 April 1986) was a first-class cricketer who played for Middlesex County Cricket Club, Middlesex, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), Norfolk County Cricket Club, Norfolk and England cricket team, England. Edrich's three brothers, Brian Edrich, Brian, Eric Edrich, Eric and Geoff Edrich, Geoff, and also his cousin, John Edrich, John, all played first-class cricket. Locally in Norfolk the Edriches were able to raise a full team of eleven. In 1938 a team composed entirely of Edriches beat Norfolk County Cricket Club, Norfolk in a one-day match. Wymondham College is a coeducational day and boarding school in Morley, near Wymondham, Norfolk, England with academy status. A former grammar school, it is one of 36 state boarding schools in England and the largest of its type in the country, with up to 650 boarding places.
