Justice Amin Ahmed
Amin Ahmed NPk, MBE ( bn, আমিন আহমদ; 1 October 1899 – 5 December 1991) was a jurist and chief justice of the Dacca High Court in Bangladesh. Early life and education Amin Ahmed was born on 1 October 1899 at Ahmadpur village, Sonagazi Upazila, Feni. His father was Abdul Aziz, who was a civil servant. In 1913, he graduated from Chittagong Municipal High School. He has a B.A. in economics from Presidency College, Calcutta. He then completed a master's degree in economics. He completed another B.A. in economics and a Bachelor of Laws from University of Cambridge. He was then called to the Gray's Inn and in 1924 became a Barrister-at-Law. Career Amin joined the Calcutta High Court bar after returning from London. He then joined Calcutta University Law College as a professor of law. Nishan-e-Pakistan
The Nishan-e-Pakistan ( ur, , , ''Order of Pakistan'') is the highest civilian award of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It is awarded for "those who have rendered services of highest distinction" to the national interest of Pakistan. Nishan is awarded to government officials and civilians, including citizens of Pakistan and foreign nationals. In the Pakistan honours system, Nishan-e-Pakistan is equivalent to Nishan-e-Haider, the highest military gallantry award. Established on 19 March 1975 under the Decorations Act, 1975, the award is not correlated to the rank or status of a person. Dhanmondi ( bn, ধানমন্ডি) is a residential area in Dhaka, Bangladesh, known for its central location, cultural vibrancy and being home to the country's founder, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The origins of Dhanmondi can be traced back to the late 1950s, when the Government of East Pakistan developed it as a centrally planned and residential area to house the city's top bureaucrats. Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem
Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem (29 March 1916 – 8 July 1997) was a Bangladeshi jurist and statesman. He was first Chief Justice of Bangladesh from 1972 to 1975. He became the President of Bangladesh in the aftermath of counter-coups in November 1975. He was made Chief Martial Law Administrator. Sayem presided over a cabinet headed by the three chiefs of the armed forces. The cabinet included civilian technocrats and politicians. Latifur Rahman
Latifur Rahman (1 March 1936 – 6 June 2017) was the 10th Chief Justice and the 2nd Chief Adviser of Bangladesh. Early life and education Rahman was born in Jessore on 1 March 1936. His father was the lawyer Khan Bahadur Lutfur Rahman. His maternal uncle Nurul Huda served as a High Court judge. He earned his master's in English literature at the University of Dhaka in 1956 and later completed his bachelor's in law from the same university. He served as a faculty member of Shahid Suhrawardy College. Career Rahman started his lawyer career with the Dhaka High Court membership in 1960. He was an apprentice to Bangladesh's first attorney general MH Khandaker. He became a permanent High Court judge in 1981 and an Appellate Division judge on January 15, 1990. Muhammad Habibur Rahman
Muhammad Habibur Rahman (3 December 1928 – 11 January 2014) was a Chief Justice of Bangladesh Supreme Court in 1995. He was the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, Chief Adviser of the 1996 caretaker government which oversaw the Seventh parliamentary elections in Bangladesh. He was a faculty member at the Department of Law, University of Rajshahi and University of Dhaka. Surendra Kumar Sinha
Surendra Kumar Sinha (born 1 February 1951), commonly known as SK Sinha is a Bangladeshi lawyer and jurist who served as the 21st Chief Justice of Bangladesh.
