''Jurrassic Exxplosion Phillipic'' or ''The Jurrasic Explosion Philippic'' is the debut album by indie rock duo Foxygen, which "self-produced a string of adventurous records throughout high school." Jonathan Rado described the album to Interview Magazine as a "30 track space opera." It was initially released in 2007, but then a further release of a free download link was shown by Foxygen on social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The Brian Jonestown Massacre is an American musical project and band led and started by Anton Newcombe. It was formed in San Francisco in 1990. The group was the subject of the 2004 documentary film called '' Dig!'', and have gained media notoriety for their tumultuous working relationships as well as the erratic behavior of Newcombe. The collective has released 18 albums, five compilation albums, five live albums, 13 EPs, 18 singles as well as two various-artist compilation albums to date. The bandname is a ''portmanteau'' of deceased Rolling Stones founder Brian Jones and the 1978 Jonestown Massacre. Jonathan Rado
Jonathan Rado is an American musician, record producer and engineer, best known as a multi-instrumentalist in the indie rock duo Foxygen. Rado is a native of Westlake Village, California, where he formed Foxygen with his classmate Sam France in 2005. After releasing four albums with Foxygen, Rado began producing albums for other artists, including The Killers, The Lemon Twigs, Tim Heidecker, Whitney, Alex Cameron, Father John Misty and Weyes Blood. In 2018, ''Billboard'' called Rado "one of indie rock's most in-demand producers". The sitar ( or ; ) is a plucked stringed instrument, originating from the Indian subcontinent, used in Hindustani classical music.
