Jurong Regional Centre
Jurong Lake District is a district of Singapore, planned as part of Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA)’s decentralisation efforts to bring more quality jobs, amenities, and recreational options closer to homes. The plans for the district have continued to evolve since the blueprint was first unveiled in the URA Master Plan 2008. It consists of three precincts, namely Jurong Gateway, Lakeside and Lakeside Gateway. It is in size and served by two major expressways and three MRT stations. It will be the Singapore's next central business district. Jurong Lake District MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Cross Island line (CRL) located in Jurong East, Singapore. First announced in September 2022, the station is expected to be completed in 2032 along with the other CRL Phase 2 stations. Greater Southern Waterfront
The Greater Southern Waterfront ( abbreviation: GSW) is a major waterfront project under development situated in southern Singapore, straddling its coastline. At present, the area is occupied by the Tanjong Pagar and Brani terminals of the Port of Singapore, which will be progressively moved to the Tuas Megaport, as well as Keppel Golf Club. The GSW will span across the southern coastline of Singapore when fully completed. Jurong Region MRT Line
The Jurong Region Line (JRL) is a future Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line that will serve the Jurong area and the western part of Singapore. It is one of the two future lines to be elevated in the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system. First announced in 2013, the JRL is set to open in stages from 2027 to 2029. The JRL will serve 24 stations, serving Choa Chu Kang in the north, Jurong Pier in the south, Peng Kang Hill in the west and Pandan Reservoir in the east. The line is coloured teal on the rail map. It will be the fifth MRT line to be completely automated and driverless. As the seventh MRT line in Singapore, the JRL will be fully automated and run by CJ151 trains supplied by Hyundai Rotem. Jurong East Bus Interchange is a bus interchange located in Jurong East, Singapore. An open-air single-level bus terminal, it is connected to the adjacent Jurong East MRT station via a link bridge. History The original facility used for the bus interchange was built on 30 June 1985, west of the present MRT station and opposite the Jurong CPF building at Jurong Gateway Road. Most of the bus services in the bus interchange originated from the Teban Gardens Terminal and some from the former Jurong Bus Interchange, which were re-routed to this interchange when it opened. JCube
JCube is a shopping centre located in Jurong East, Singapore. It opens from 10 am to 10 pm and is home to Singapore’s first Olympic-size ice rink and the first IMAX theatre in the suburbs. It was built on the former site of the Jurong Entertainment Centre. The name, JCube was decided on after a naming competition held in 2010. J represents the mall’s location in Jurong. It is part of an integrated healthcare development that includes the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).
