Marija Jurić Zagorka
Marija Jurić (; 2 March 1873 – 30 November 1957), known by her pen name Zagorka (), was a Croatian journalist, writer and women's rights activist. She was the first female journalist in Croatia and is among the most read Croatian writers. Early life and education Marija Jurić was born on 2 March 1873 in the village of Negovec in the family of Ivan Jurić and Josipa Domin. She had two brothers and a sister. Baptized in a Catholic church on 3 March 1873, she was given the baptismal name Mariana. She later spoke of her family as being wealthy but unhappy. She spent her childhood in Hrvatsko Zagorje on the Golubovec estate owned by Baron Geza Rauch which her father managed. She was educated by private tutors alongside baron Rauch's children. Ivan Jurić (; born 25 August 1975) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player who is the manager of club Torino. Jurić spent most of his playing career, as a midfielder, and his entire managing career in Italy. Mario Jurić (born 9 February 1979) is a Croatian astronomer. Jurić was born in Zagreb. He graduated from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Science, and received a doctorate at Princeton University in 2007. He is the Data Management Project Scientist for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope. Zvonimir Jurić (born 4 June 1971) is a Croatian film director and screenwriter. In 2009, he co-directed and co-wrote the 2009 psychological war drama titled '' The Blacks''. Early life Born in Osijek, SFR Yugoslavia, on 4 June 1971, Jurić finished his primary and secondary education in his hometown. Ante Jurić (1 February 1934 – 4 September 2013) was a Yugoslav professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Hajduk Split. Club career Jurić began his career with Jedinstvo Kopilica, before joining NK Hajduk Split at the age of 19. He made his first appearance for Hajduk on 4 December 1955, against BSK Beograd (which finished as a 0–2 defeat). He made 243 appearances for Hajduk (91 league matches, 11 cup ties and 141 friendlies), scoring once. In 1964, he transferred to Arsenal Split in second tier of the Yugoslav football system. Duje Jurić (born 1956 in Rupe, Croatia) is a Croatian contemporary artist and one of the key figures of the New Geometry movement of the 1980s. He lives and works in Zagreb, Croatia. He was an associate of the Master Workshop of Ljubo Ivančić and Nikola Reiser (1982–1985).
