Jupp Kapellmann
Hans-Josef "Jupp" Kapellmann (born 19 December 1949 in Bardenberg) is a former West German football player. Shining for just promoted Alemannia Aachen in a Bundesliga runner-up season in 1969, midfielder Kapellmann left Aachen for 1. FC Köln a year later and after Aachen had been relegated from the Bundesliga. Kapellmann was a proven regular with 1. FC Köln until 1973, ending on second place in the Bundesliga and in the German Cup in 1973 with them. Subsequent to his in-form performances for his club he was snapped up by FC Bayern Munich with his new club paying Köln 802,000 Deutsche Mark (a Bundesliga record at that time) for Kapellmann's services. Rather used as defender later on, Kapellmann was part of the European Cup winner squads of Bayern in 1974, 1975 and also in 1976. Würselen
Würselen (, Ripuarian language, Ripuarian: ) is a town in the borough of Aachen (district), Aachen, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Würselen lies north of the city of Aachen in the immediate vicinity of the tripoint of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. Its neighbouring settlements are, in clockwise order, the towns of Herzogenrath, Alsdorf and Eschweiler and the city of Aachen. The 1970–71 DFB-Pokal was the 28th season of the annual German football cup competition. It began on 12 December 1970 and ended on 19 June 1971. 32 teams competed in the tournament of five rounds. In the final Bayern Munich defeated 1. FC Köln 2–1 after extra time. It was Bayern's fifth triumph in the cup while it was Cologne's second consecutive loss in the final. 1976 Intercontinental Cup
The 1976 Intercontinental Cup was an association football tie held over two legs in November and December 1976 between Cruzeiro, winners of the 1976 Copa Libertadores, and the winners of the 1975–76 European Cup, Bayern Munich. FC Bayern Munich, even as European champions, didn't find a compatible schedule together with South-American champions Club Atlético Independiente, to play the 1975 Intercontinental Cup. This time, however, had no problems and the German club disputed the world title against the 1976 South-American champions, the Brazilian Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. The team of Bavaria held the base of the German team who won the 1974 FIFA World Cup, with players like Sepp Maier, Franz Beckenbauer, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Gerd Müller. The 1974 FIFA World Cup was the tenth FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams, and was played in West Germany (and West Berlin) between 13 June and 7 July. The tournament marked the first time that the current trophy, the FIFA World Cup Trophy, created by the Italian sculptor Silvio Gazzaniga, was awarded. The previous trophy, the Jules Rimet Trophy, had been won for the third time by Brazil in 1970 and awarded permanently to the Brazilians.
