Junts
Together for Catalonia ( ca, Junts per Catalunya, Junts) is a Catalan political party established in July 2020 by former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont, announced on 2 July as a result of the foundering of negotiations with the Catalan European Democratic Party (PDeCAT) over the re-organization of the post- convergent political space under the "Together for Catalonia" umbrella. The party's founding congress will take place between 25 July and 3 October, after being launched on 18 July with the public presentation of its imagery and corporate identity by Elsa Artadi and Marta Madrenas. Catalan European Democratic Party
The Catalan European Democratic Party ( ca, Partit Demòcrata Europeu Català, PDeCAT, sometimes stylized as PDECat), initially branded as the Catalan Democratic Party ( ca, Partit Demòcrata Català, PDC), is a liberal political party in Spain that supports Catalan independence. The party was founded in Barcelona on 10 July 2016. PDeCAT is regarded as the successor party to Democratic Convergence of Catalonia (CDC), which for most its history was a constituent party of the Convergence and Union (CiU) political formation. Action for the Republic ( ca, Acció per la República, AxR) is a Catalan nationalist and progressive political party in Catalonia, founded by independents deputies of the Parliament of Catalonia grouped into the Together for the Republic ( ca, Junts per la República, JuntsxRep) internal current within the Together for Catalonia (JxCat) alliance. Democratic Convergence Of Catalonia
The Democratic Convergence of Catalonia ( ca, Convergència Democràtica de Catalunya; , CDC), frequently shortened as Convergence ( ca, Convergència; ) was a Catalan nationalist, liberal political party in Catalonia (Spain), currently still existing without any political activity. Carles Puigdemont i Casamajó (; born 29 December 1962) is a Catalan politician and journalist from Spain. Since 2019 he has served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). A former mayor of Girona, Puigdemont served as President of Catalonia from 2016 to 2017 when he was removed from office by the Spanish Government following the unilateral Catalan declaration of independence. The Greens–Green Alternative ( ca, Els Verds–Alternativa Verda, EV–AV) is a political party based in Catalonia, founded in September 1999 by former members of The Greens–Ecologist Confederation of Catalonia (EV–CEC), after the party had split in March 1998 over the type of relationship to establish with the newly-autonomous Initiative for Catalonia (IC). Elsa Artadi i Vila (born 19 August 1976) is a Spanish economist, academic and politician from Catalonia. Artadi is a member of the Parliament of Catalonia and was previously Minister of the Presidency and Government Spokesperson of Catalonia. Born in 1976 in Barcelona, Artadi studied economics at Pompeu Fabra University and Harvard University before becoming an academic. She taught economics at Bocconi University and was visiting professor at several other universities. Later she held various senior positions at the Generalitat de Catalunya. Artadi was elected to the Parliament of Catalonia at the 2017 regional election as an independent candidate for the pro-independence Together for Catalonia electoral alliance. The Senate ( es, Senado) is the upper house of the Cortes Generales, which along with the Congress of Deputies – the lower chamber – comprises the Parliament of the Kingdom of Spain.
