Junior Chef Showdown
''Junior Chef Showdown'' is a Canadian reality cooking competition television series, which premiered in 2020 on Food Network Canada. The series is a competition for emerging chefs between the ages of 9 and 13, judged by Jordan Andino, Anna Olson and Lynn Crawford. The first season aired in 2020 and was won by Audrey MacKinnon of Brantford, Ontario, and the second season aired in 2021 and was won by Nazaree Arandjelovic of Toronto. Food reality television is a genre of reality television programming that considers the production, consumption and/or sociocultural impact of food. Reality food television emerged as a recognisable sub-genre in the 1940s. Historically, food reality television sought to educate viewers on matters of food. Elvira Kurt (born December 9, 1961) is a Canadian comedian, and was the host of the game show '' Spin Off''. She hosted the entertainment satire/talk show ''PopCultured with Elvira Kurt'', which began on The Comedy Network in Canada in 2005. That show's style was similar to ''The Daily Show with Jon Stewart''. It was cancelled due to poor ratings in early 2006. She is of Jewish Hungarian descent.
