George Breakston
George Paul Breakston (January 22, 1920 – May 21, 1973) was a French-American actor, film producer, producer and film director, active in Hollywood from his days as a child actor in Andy Hardy films in the 1930s (where he played the character ''Beezy''), to a period as an independent producer/director in the 1950s. Biography Breakston was the son of French-born Jacqueline DuVal. He first entered the entertainment world by working in radio as a child actor from 1930. Hs came to the notice of Hollywood and appeared in a variety of films. He made his stage debut in ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' and made his motion picture debut in ''It Happened One Night'' (1934). During World War II he was commissioned in the US Army Signal Corps through Officers Candidate School then served in the Pacific War as a photographer. When the war ended Breakston remained in Japan. Ronald Davidson
Ronald Anstuther Davidson (July 13, 1899 – July 28, 1965) was an American screenwriter. He was born in Arizona, raised in Los Angeles, and died in San Diego, California. He was the son of Dr. Ansthuther and Alice Davidson. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley where he was a member of Sigma Pi fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa. Ronald Davidson started his career as a short story writer and in 1943 was appointed as story editor for Republic Studios movie serials and some feature films. He has also written some TV films and serials and has been associate producer for some film productions. He was a member of the Screen Writers Guild. Herman Schopp (28 June 1899 – 8 August 1954) was a cinematographer of the Frank Buck serial Jungle Menace. Early years Schopp was born in Radzichower, Austria (now Radziejów, Poland). He immigrated to the US (New York City) 29 August 1907. Career Schopp was cinematographer of The Mysterious Pilot, Son of Ingagi, The Secret of Treasure Island, and many other films. The National Legion of Decency, also known as the Catholic Legion of Decency, was a Catholic group founded in 1934 by Archbishop of Cincinnati, John T. McNicholas, as an organization dedicated to identifying objectionable content in motion pictures on behalf of Catholic audiences. Members were asked to pledge to patronize only those motion pictures which did not "offend decency and Christian morality". The concept soon gained support from other churches. Condemnation by the Legion would often diminish a film's chances for success because it meant the population of Catholics, some twenty million strong at the time, (plus their Protestant allies), would avoid attending any screening of the film.
