Juneja
Juneja/Junejo ( sd, ) is a Sindhi Sammat clan found in Sindh, Pakistan and in some parts of India. The most notable Juneja include: Jam Juna II, a ruler of Sindh and Muhammad Khan Junejo, former prime minister of Pakistan. Origins The Juneja are regarded as descendants of Jam Juna I, the Samma king. Jam Juna was succeeded by Jam Tamachi whose tale is mentioned in Shah Jo Risalo. Samma Dynasty
The Samma dynasty ( sd, سمن جو راڄ, ) was a Medieval India, medieval Sindhis, Sindhi dynasty in the Indian subcontinent, that ruled Sindh, as well as parts of Kutch, Punjab region, Punjab and Balochistan (region), Balochistan from 1351 to 1524 CE, with their capital at Thatta known as Sammanagar in modern day Sindh, Pakistan; before being replaced by the Arghun dynasty. Khaliq Junejo
Abdul Khalique Junejo (born November 9, 1952 in Larkana), usually known as Khaliq Junejo is the chairman of Jeay Sindh Mahaz ( sd, جيئي سنڌ محاذ), a faction of nationalist movement in Sindh, founded by G. M. Syed. He is a writer and intellectual (also). Khalique completed his degree of civil engineering from Sindh University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro (then Mehran College). He served as executive engineer in KDA (Karachi Development Authority) from 1975 to 1995. In 1995, he left the job to participate in nationalist politics. He is follower of G. M. Syed. Khalique claims that Jeay Sindh Mahaz is the original party that was created by G. M. Syed in 1972 for getting an independent Sindh. Abdul Qadir Junejo
Abdul Qadir Junejo ( sd, عبد القادر جوڻيجو) ( ur, ) (13 September 1945 – 30 March 2020) was a novelist, playwright and columnist who wrote in Sindhi, Urdu and English. Early life Junejo was born in the small village of Jinhan, Tharparkar, Sindh. His father was Mureed Hussain Junejo who was a police officer. Junejo received his primary education in his native village of Jinhan. He then attended the University of Sindh where he earned a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Arts in sociology. Career In 1962, Junejo started working as a primary school teacher, becoming a secondary school teacher in 1972. He was then appointed Director at the Institute of Sindhology, Jamshoro. Abdul Jabbar Junejo
Dr. Abdul Jabbar Junejo (26 November 1935 – 12 July 2011) was a Sindhi writer, poet, novelist, story-writer, critic, linguist, historian and musicologist of Sindh, Pakistan. Early life He was born on 26 November 1935 at Pir Fateh Shah Village, District Badin, Sindh, Pakistan. He did his MA in Sindhi in 1962 with distinguished marks and was awarded the gold medal. He earned his Ph.D. on the topic: “The Influence of Persian Poetry on Sindhi Poetry”. He had a good deal of language competence in English, Chinese and Persian. Haji Amir Bux Junejo (24 December 1916 – 7 October 2011) was a Pakistani politician who was elected four times member in Provisional Assembly, Sindh. He was famously known as "Otaqi Wadero" of Sindh whose guest house was open to all and sundry where they were fed round the clock.
