Juneau (song)
"Juneau" (formerly titled "Juno") is a song by Welsh post-hardcore band Funeral for a Friend. As one of the most popular and well known of the band's songs, it was a hit single being the joint third (after " Streetcar" & "Into Oblivion (Reunion)") highest charting single to date. The song was released in two different forms on two albums; as "Juno" on the band's debut EP, '' Between Order and Model'' EP; and in its final incarnation as "Juneau" on their debut LP, '' Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation''. Juno The original version of "Juneau" was titled "Juno" and was released on the band's debut EP, '' Between Order And Model''. This version features more screamed vocals; or, in the band's preferred terminology, "aggressive vocals". Juno was recorded by the old FFAF line-up consisting of current members Matt Davies and Kris Coombs-Roberts and ex-members Darran Smith, Matthew Evans (screamed vocals), Andi Morris (bass) and Johnny Phillips (Drums). However, on the re-issue of ...

Funeral For A Friend
Funeral for a Friend are a Welsh post-hardcore band from Bridgend, formed in 2001 and currently consists of Matthew Davies-Kreye (lead vocals), Kris Coombs-Roberts (guitar, backing vocals), Gavin Burrough (guitar, backing vocals), Darran Smith (guitar), Richard Boucher (bass), and Ryan Richards (drums, vocals). Funeral for a Friend's popularity rose in the United Kingdom with the release of their debut album, ''Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation'' (2003). Achieving both a gold certification and three top-twenty singles in their home country, ''Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation'' is often acclaimed as one of the landmark emo records of the 2000s. '' Hours'' (2005) featured a similar musical style to their debut, but also featured more melodic sensibilities, and '' Tales Don't Tell Themselves'' (2007) showed an evolution in Funeral for a Friend's musical style from that which defined their debut, as the group began to diverge from their use of screaming vocals and post ...

Between Order And Model
''Between Order and Model'' is the first release by Welsh post-hardcore band Funeral for a Friend. It was released on 12 August 2002 (see 2002 in music) through Mighty Atom Records in the United Kingdom. It is currently out of print and sought after by collectors. All of the tracks, excluding "Juno", were included on the band's 2003 EP, "Seven Ways to Scream Your Name". "Red Is the New Black" was rerecorded for the band's first album ''Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation'', whilst "Juno" was rerecorded in a new arrangement and titled "Juneau" for the album. The band recorded a promotional video for "10:45 Amsterdam Conversations" with the current line up in late 2002 for Bandit; a Welsh TV show. The artwork is an old picture of a street in Maesteg, a small town where some of the band members at the time lived (and where Matt and his brother ran a record shop), the view of the mountain these days is now obscured by a school. The EP was later re-released due to a high demand. T ...

2003 Singles
3 (three) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 2 and preceding 4, and is the smallest odd prime number and the only prime preceding a square number. It has religious or cultural significance in many societies. Evolution of the Arabic digit The use of three lines to denote the number 3 occurred in many writing systems, including some (like Roman and Chinese numerals) that are still in use. That was also the original representation of 3 in the Brahmic (Indian) numerical notation, its earliest forms aligned vertically. However, during the Gupta Empire the sign was modified by the addition of a curve on each line. The Nāgarī script rotated the lines clockwise, so they appeared horizontally, and ended each line with a short downward stroke on the right. In cursive script, the three strokes were eventually connected to form a glyph resembling a with an additional stroke at the bottom: ३. The Indian digits spread to the Caliphate in the 9th ...

Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Since the mid-1950s, the bass guitar has largely replaced the double bass in popular music. The four-string bass is usually tuned the same as the double bass, which corresponds to pitches one octave lower than the four lowest-pitched strings of a guitar (typically E, A, D, and G). It is played primarily with the fingers or thumb, or with a pick. To be heard at normal performance volumes, electric basses require external amplification. Terminology According to the ''New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians'', an "Electric bass guitar sa Guitar, usually with four heavy strings tuned E1'–A1'–D2–G2." Screaming (music)
Screaming is an extended vocal technique that is popular in "aggressive" music genres such as heavy metal, punk rock, and noise music and others. It is common in the more extreme subgenres of heavy metal, such as death and black metal as well as many other subgenres. Genres Classical and experimental music Although screams are often suggested in stories performed in the grand opera tradition, they were never performed literally, always being sung. The first significant example of an actual scream in an opera is in Alban Berg's ''Wozzeck'' (1922), where the eponymous character screams "Murder! Murder!" in the fourth scene of Act III. Even more strikingly, Berg's unfinished ''Lulu'', written mainly in 1934, features a blood-curdling scream as the heroine is murdered by Jack the Ripper in the closing moments of the final scene. In Mascagni's 1890 ''Cavalleria rusticana'' the final line "They've murdered Turiddu!" is spoken, not sung, and often accompanied by a scream. Othe ...
