June Mar Fajardo
June Mar Sotto Fajardo (; born November 17, 1989) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is also known by his nickname "The Kraken" for his extraordinary size and finesse against opposing big men. Born in Compostela, Cebu, Compostela, he transferred with his parents to Pinamungajan at an early age, where he spent most of his younger and teen years. He played center for the University of Cebu Webmasters in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc., CESAFI and for the San Miguel Beermen (ABL), San Miguel Beermen in the ASEAN Basketball League before being selected as the first overall in the 2012 PBA draft by San Miguel Beermen, Petron Blaze Boosters. Despite his young age, Fajardo showed great potential and has been dubbed by local sports analysts as the ''Future of Philippine basketball''. San Miguel Beermen
The San Miguel Beermen are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It is one of three PBA clubs owned by the San Miguel Corporation group of companies along with the Magnolia Hotshots and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. It is the most successful franchise in the history of the PBA and the only remaining original franchise in the league. The Beermen have the most titles with 28 and the most all-time victories with more than 1,200 wins. The 2022 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup Finals was a best-of-7 championship series of the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup, and the conclusion of the conference's playoffs. The San Miguel Beermen and the TNT Tropang Giga competed for the 44th Philippine Cup championship and the 131st overall championship contested by the league. PBA Best Player Of The Conference Award
The Philippine Basketball Association's Best Player of the Conference Award is given to the best local (Filipino or part-Filipino) player at the end of each conference (tournament). It was first awarded in the 1994 All-Filipino Conference. The Best Import Award is given to the best player (non-Filipino) at the end of each import-laden conference. Criteria The method of selecting the Best Player of the Conference is similar on how the season's Most Valuable Player is selected. PBA Most Valuable Player Award
The Philippine Basketball Association Most Valuable Player (MVP) is an annual Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) award given since the start of the league in 1975 to the best performing player of the season. The award is decided using criteria introduced since the 2011–12 season, which include accumulated statistical points, votes from media, players and the league's Commissioner's Office. The current holder of the award is Scottie Thompson.
