Juma Akukweti
Juma Jamaldin Akukweti (September 20, 1947 – January 4, 2007) was a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of Tanzania. He represented Tunduru District in parliament from 1990 until his death, as a member of CCM. On December 28, 2005, he also became the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs in the Prime Minister's Office. Akukweti completed Form IV at Songea Secondary School in 1969 where he was a schoolmate of Godfrey Mwakikagile who finished his studies in Form IV in 1968. Akukweti went on for further studies at Tabora High School where he completed his A-level education in 1971. He graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam in 1975 with a BSc. (Honors) in Education. In 1978 he received a diploma in Social Management from ESAMI in Arusha. Akukweti was a tutor at the National Transport Institute of Tanzania from 1975 through 1977, after which he served as the institute's dean of students until 1981. Jakaya Kikwete
Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete (born 7 October 1950) is a Tanzanian politician who was the fourth president of Tanzania, in office from 2005 to 2015. Prior to his election as president, he was the Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1995 to 2005 under his predecessor, Benjamin Mkapa. He also served as the chairperson of the African Union from 2008–2009 and the chairman of the Southern African Development Community Troika on Peace, Defence and Security from 2012–2013. Kikwete who is of Kwere heritage, was born and raised in Msoga, Chalinze District in Pwani Region and attended the university of Dar es Salaam. Education Between 1959 and 1963 Kikwete attended Karatu Primary School and Tengeru School from 1963 to 1965, both in Arusha Region. ESAMI
Eastern and Southern African Management Institute, or ESAMI is a diplomatic regional management development institute owned by various governments in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. Established in 1980, the Institute has its headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania. History ESAMI was established in 1979 on the foundations of the East African Management Institute, itself established by the governments of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Uganda, as an intergovernmental institution designed to provide specialized top-level management training, research and consultancy services to its members. The charter establishing ESAMI was signed in October 1979, by the member countries of Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, Namibia, Tanzania, Uganda, Seychelles, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
