White, co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church who died in 1915. * The city government of Edinburgh took over the city's private tramway system, eventually leading to the formation of Lothian Buses. * Newport News Shipbuilding established The Apprentice School in Newport News, Virginia to offer apprenticeship programs for students interested in pursuing a career in shipbuilding. * Several rail stations were reopened in Great Britain after being closed down during World War I, including stations in London Fields, and Leman Street in England, and Star Crossing Halt railway station, Star Crossing in Wales. London Fields Railway Station
London Fields is a London Overground station on the Lea Valley Lines, serving the district of London Fields in the London Borough of Hackney, east London. It is down-line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between and . Its three-letter station code is LOF and it is in Travelcard zone 2. History The station dates from 1872 when it was opened by the Great Eastern Railway. It was closed from 22 May 1916 and reopened 1 July 1919 as a wartime economy measure. Electrification of the line was instituted in 1960, and London Fields station was reduced to weekday peak period-only service for much of the 1980s and 1990s. It had its services suspended altogether for five years after a fire in 1981 that seriously damaged the main station buildings, putting its future in serious doubt. Macksville Railway Station
Macksville railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the North Coast line in Macksville, Nambucca Shire, New South Wales, Australia. The station serves the town of Macksville, and opened on 1 July 1919 when the line was extended from Kempsey. The station is also known as Macksville Railway Station group. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. Platforms and services Macksville has one platform. Each day northbound XPT services operate to Grafton, Casino and Brisbane, with three southbound services operating to Sydney. This station is a request stop for the northbound Brisbane XPT and the southbound Casino XPT, so these services stop here only if passengers have booked to board/alight here. Eungai Railway Station
Eungai railway station is located on the North Coast line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the town of Eungai, opening on 1 July 1919 when the line was extended from Kempsey to Macksville. North Coast Railway Line, New South Wales
The North Coast Line is the primary rail route in the Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers regions of New South Wales, Australia, and forms a major part of the Sydney–Brisbane rail corridor. The line begins at Maitland and ends at Roma Street railway station in Brisbane, although freight services terminate at the yard at Acacia Ridge on the outskirts of Brisbane. Along the way, the railway passes through the towns of Dungog, Gloucester, Wingham, Taree, Kendall, Wauchope, Kempsey, Macksville, Nambucca Heads, Urunga, Sawtell, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Casino and Kyogle. After the standard gauge line ends at Acacia Ridge, it forms a dual gauge line into Brisbane, running alongside parts of the Beenleigh railway line.
