Children's Television Series
Children's television series (or children's television shows) are television programs designed for children, normally scheduled for broadcast during the morning and afternoon when children are awake. They can sometimes run during the early evening, allowing younger children to watch them after school. The purpose of these shows is mainly to entertain or educate. The children's series are in four categories: those aimed at infants and toddlers, those aimed at those aged 6 to 11 years old, those for adolescents and those aimed at all children. ''Sveriges Radio's Christmas Calendar'' ( sv, Sveriges Radios julkalender) is an annual series of pre-Christmas children's programmes produced and broadcast by Sveriges Radio in the form of a radio advent calendar. The first series – entitled Barnens adventskalender – was broadcast in 1957. From 1960 until 1972, the same Christmas calendar was produced in a radio version for Sveriges Radio and a television version for Sveriges Television. Häxan Surtant (The Sour-Hag Witch), also called "Världens suraste och elakaste häxa" (''The Sulkiest and Meanest Witch in the World''), is a Sweden, Swedish Character (arts), fictional character who appears on Sveriges Television, SVT.
