Julián Fernández (born 18 July 1989) is an Argentine footballer that plays as centre back for Italian Serie D club S.S.D. F.C. Messina. Club career Product of Atlético Rafaela youth ranks, in 2008, Fernández was promoted to the first-adult team. His well performances at Rafaela allowed him be considered in Argentina U-20's 23-man squad for 2009 South American Youth Championship. After his participation for their youth national team, in July, he joined Argentinos Juniors where the defender won the Torneo Clausura 2010 title, which was his first professional honour. However, after fail to play at La Paternal, Buenos Aires, La Paternal-based team, he returned to Rafaela in mid-2011. On 21 January 2012, Fernández moved Chilean club Deportes La Serena. He debuted against C.S.D. Julián Rodrigo Fernández (born March 22, 1995) is an Argentine footballer who plays as a midfielder for Newell's Old Boys in the Argentine Primera División. Life and career Fernández was born in Buenos Aires in 1995. His older brother Juan Manuel Fernández also became a footballer. Fernández came through the youth system of the club he supported, All Boys, and made his senior debut on June 20, 2013, in the last 16 of the 2012–13 Copa Argentina, replacing Ivan Borghello after 81 minutes of a 3–1 win against Boca Juniors. His first Primera División appearance was also as a second-half substitute, in the final match of the 2012–13 season, a 4–0 defeat away to Arsenal de Sarandí. He played four times in the 2013–14 season, at the end of which All Boys were relegated, but appeared more frequently in the 2014 Primera B Nacional.
