Juliet Royo
Juliet Royo was a Malawian radio presenter and broadcaster. She gained national recognition in Malawi when she worked on Radio 2 FM and worked with Joy Nathu and Anne Kadammanja. She died in 2021. Royo was a Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Online Editor and MBC Radio 2 presenter. She was one of the best radio personalities in Malawi. She was also known to have created a program called Spotlight on MBC that attracted many listeners. Malawi
Malawi (; or aláwi Tumbuka: ''Malaŵi''), officially the Republic of Malawi, is a landlocked country in Southeastern Africa that was formerly known as Nyasaland. It is bordered by Zambia to the west, Tanzania to the north and northeast, and Mozambique to the east, south and southwest. Malawi spans over and has an estimated population of 19,431,566 (as of January 2021). Malawi's capital (and largest city) is Lilongwe. Its second-largest is Blantyre, its third-largest is Mzuzu and its fourth-largest is its former capital, Zomba. Joy Nathu
Joy Nathu is a Malawian radio DJ, producer, broadcaster and presenter. He won his first UMP Awards, UMP Award in 2016 as the DJ of the year. In 2017 and 2018, Nathu also won the same awards and category. He won Radio DJ and Personality of the Year in 2019. Nathu has also won 2 of Nyasa Music Awards for Best Radio DJ in 2017 and 2018. In 2022, Nathu won the Maso Awards, Maso Award as the DJ of the year. He has worked with various other radio presenters such as, Priscilla Kayira, Anne Kadammanja and Juliet Royo. Nathu is known to have started a radio show called 'Made on Monday' where he interviews different upcoming and notable artists. Background Nathu was born on 7 September 1985, in Blantyre. Priscilla Kayira
Priscilla Kayira is a Malawian radio broadcaster, presenter and television personality. In 2019, Kayira was nominated the Personality of the Year along with Luna MC, Luna and Sharon Chirwa in UMP Awards, UMP Media Awards. She won the same award in the same category in 2020 and 2022.She was born in Mzuzu and moved to Southern Region, Malawi, Southern Region to purse her career. She is a Tumbuka language, Tumbuka by tribe. Her role model was the former MBC-TV personality, Tamara Chafunya. She attended Marymount Secondary School. This article is about the demographic features of the population of Malawi, including population density, ethnicity, education level, health of the populace, economic status, religious affiliations and other aspects of the population. Malawi derives its name from the Maravi, a Bantu people who came from the southern Congo about 600 years ago. On reaching the area north of Lake Malawi, the Maravi divided. One branch, the ancestors of the present-day Chewas, moved south to the west bank of the lake. The other, the ancestors of the Nyanjas, moved down the east bank to the southern part of the country. By AD 1500, the two divisions of the tribe had established a kingdom stretching from north of the present-day city of Nkhotakota to the Zambezi River in the south, and from Lake Malawi in the east, to the Luangwa River in Zambia in the west.
