Juliet Dunlop
Juliet Dunlop is a Scottish freelance broadcast journalist. She previously appeared as a presenter for BBC News and STV News. She left the BBC in 2011. She took time out of her role in news reporting to embark on a journey as an English teacher in Inveralmond Community High School, Livingston. This was very short lived, and Dunlop returned to the news career. She currently works as a correspondent for ITV's breakfast programme '' Good Morning Britain''. Career Before joining the BBC News channel in 2008, Dunlop fronted the interactive news headlines for the BBC's red button news service. She also presented daytime news updates on BBC One. Dunlop joined STV in April 2011 as the main anchor for its new Edinburgh-based edition of the regional news programme '' STV News at Six'', which launched a month later. Good Morning Britain (2014 TV Programme)
''Good Morning Britain'' (often abbreviated to ''GMB'') is a British breakfast television programme that is broadcast on ITV. It debuted on 28 April 2014 and is broadcast live every weekday from 6:00am to 9:00am across Britain and Northern Ireland. The programme features a variety of news, interviews, politics, sport, entertainment, competitions and weather as well as local news bulletins delivered by the ITV regions. Format The magazine-style show includes headline updates at the beginning of the programme and at the top of each hour thereafter, then three short three-minute regional bulletins at quarter past the hour featuring news, travel/transit advisories, and weather. BBC Red Button is a brand used for digital interactive television services provided by the BBC, and broadcast in the United Kingdom. The services replaced Ceefax, the BBC's analogue teletext service. The 2011 Scottish Parliament election was held on Thursday, 5 May 2011 to elect 129 members to the Scottish Parliament. The election delivered the first majority government since the opening of Holyrood, a remarkable feat as the Additional Member System used to elect MSPs was allegedly originally implemented to prevent any party achieving an overall parliamentary majority. The Scottish National Party (SNP) won a landslide of 69 seats, the most the party has ever held at either a Holyrood or Westminster election, allowing leader Alex Salmond to remain as First Minister of Scotland for a second term. Bernard Ponsonby
Bernard Ponsonby is a Scottish broadcast journalist for regional news and current affairs programming for STV. He joined the station in 1990 and was appointed political editor in 2000, following the retirement of longstanding political editor Fiona Ross. Since 2019, Ponsonby has been Special Correspondent for STV News. Early life Ponsonby was born in Castlemilk, Glasgow. He was educated at Trinity High School, Rutherglen, and Strathclyde University.
