Julie Hickson
Julie Hickson is an American film producer and screenwriter. She helped write a 43-page story treatment for Tim Burton's 1989 film '' Batman'' in 1986. Prior to this, she produced Burton's 1983 television special ''Hansel and Gretel'' (also wrote) and his 1984 short film '' Frankenweenie''. ''Hansel and Gretel'' is a television special that was made in 1983 for The Disney Channel, directed by Tim Burton. It only aired once on October 31, 1983, at 10:30 P.M. The only other times it was shown was as part of the Tim Burton retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and the Tim Burton L'Exposition at the Cinémathèque Française in Paris as part of a traveling exhibit. ''Frankenweenie'' is a 1984 American science fiction comedy horror featurette directed by Tim Burton and written by him and Leonard Ripps. It is both a parody and homage to the 1931 film ''Frankenstein'' based on Mary Shelley's 1818 novel '' Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus''. Burton later directed a feature-length stop-motion animated remake, released in 2012.
