Julie De Wilde
Julie De Wilde (born 8 December 2002) is a Belgian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's World Team in road cycling, and in cyclo-cross for UCI Cyclo-cross team IKO–Crelan. Turning professional in 2019, she joined the Doltcini - NM Transport team. Later that year, she won the Belgian junior time trial title, before finishing 2nd at the 2019 UCI World Championships - Junior women's road race in Yorkshire, and placing 5th at the 2019 European Road Championships. Despite a disrupted 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she won the Belgian National junior Cyclo-cross Championship. She joined the Plantur–Pura team at the start of 2021, taking part in her first UCI Women's World Tour event later that year. In 2022, she finished second at Dwars door Vlaanderen in Belgium, before wearing the white jersey at the Tour de France Femmes for three stages as the best placed rider under the age of 23. Julien, Baron De Wilde (b. Wetteren, 7 January 1944) is a Belgian businessman. He is Chairman of Nyrstar, Chairman of the Prince Albert Fund Foundation, honorary chairman of Agoria and a member of the board of Bekaert, Telenet and Agfa-Gevaert. He was made a Baron by H.M. King Albert II in 2012. Education He graduated as Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Leuven) in 1967. The Scheldeprijs is a cycling race in Flanders and the Netherlands which starts in Terneuzen, crosses the Scheldt River, and finishes in Schoten. Until 2018 it was held entirely in Belgium. The event, ranked as a 1.HC race on the UCI Europe Tour, features mostly sprinters on its roll of honour, as it is held on all-flat roads over roughly 200 kilometres. The 2021 European Road Cycling Championships was the 27th running of the European Road Cycling Championships, that took place from 8 to 12 September 2021 in Trentino, Italy. 2020 European Road Championships
The 2020 European Road Cycling Championships was the 26th running of the European Road Cycling Championships that took place from 24 to 28 August 2020 in Plouay, France. The event consisted of a total of 6 road races and 7 time trials. Location On 10 June 2019, it was announced that Trentino, Italy would host this event from 9 to 13 September 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy, the UEC and Trentino officials decided to postpone the city's hosting of the event to 2021. Belgian National Road Race Championships
The Belgian National Road Race Championship is a cycling race which decides who will become Belgian national champion for the year to come. The record for most wins is currently held by one of the most successful Belgian sprinters, Tom Steels, who managed to take four road championship titles. The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic cycling jersey, which is black, yellow and red, like the national flag. The 2019 UCI Road World Championships was the 92nd edition of the UCI Road World Championships, the annual world championships for road bicycle racing.
