Julie-Anne Dineen
Julie-Anne Dineen (died November 2011) was an Irish singer. She survived breast cancer and was an ambassador for fundraising for the cause. In March 2009, her single "Do You Believe" reached #1 on the Irish Singles Chart. The record's proceeds went to the Symptomatic Breast Cancer unit at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Ireland, where Dineen had just finished treatment for breast cancer. She completed a tour of Limerick schools where she performed the song. In October 2009, Dineen's cover of " River Deep – Mountain High" reached #2 on Irish charts. Dineen died in November 2011. Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. The Irish Singles Chart is the Republic of Ireland's music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and compiled on their behalf by the Official Charts Company. Chart rankings are based on sales, which are compiled through over-the-counter retail data captured electronically each day from retailers' EPOS systems. All major record shops, digital retailers and streaming services contribute to the chart, accounting for over 95% of the market. A new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by the Irish Recorded Music Association on Friday at noon. "River Deep – Mountain High" is a song by Ike & Tina Turner released as the title track to their 1966 studio album on Philles Records. Produced by Phil Spector and written by Spector, Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich. ''Rolling Stone'' ranked "River Deep – Mountain High" No. 33 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
