Juliana Rojas
Juliana Rojas is a Brazilian filmmaker who was born in Campinas, São Paulo (June 23, 1981). She graduated in Cinema in ''Escola de Comunicação e Artes da USP'' (School of Communications and Arts, University of São Paulo, School of Communication and Arts of University of São Paulo) where she met fellow Brazilian filmmaker :pt:Marco Dutra, Marco Dutra. This was the beginning of a long partnership between them. In 2004, while still in school, they codirected a short film called ''Lenço Branco''. Their short film was part of a section of the ''Cannes Film Festival'' that is dedicated to university films'', Cinéfondation''. Three years later, in 2007, ''Um Ramo'', another short film directed by Rojas and Dutra, would be nominated to Semaine de la critique, Semaine de la Critique of Cannes Film Festival. A film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the screenplay (or script) while guiding the film crew and actors in the fulfilment of that vision. Gramado Film Festival
The Gramado Film Festival ( pt, Festival de Gramado) is an international film festival held annually in the Brazilian city of Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, since 1973. In 1992, the festival began to award Latin American films produced outside of Brazil. It is the biggest film festival in the country. The Havana Film Festival New York (HFFNY) is a film festival, based in New York City, that screens cinema from across Latin America with a special focus on Cuba and its film industry. Kleber Mendonça Filho (; born 3 November 1968) is a Brazilian film director, screenwriter, producer, and critic. Life and career With a degree in journalism from the Federal University of Pernambuco, Kleber Mendonça Filho began his career as a film critic and journalist. He wrote for newspapers such as Jornal do Commercio and Folha de S. Paulo, for magazines such as Continente and Cinética, and for his own site, CinemaScópio.
