Julian Vandervelde (born October 7, 1987) is a former American football center . He was drafted by the Eagles in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Iowa and was a prep at Davenport Central High School in Davenport, Iowa. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost lineman of the offensive line on a football team's offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each play. NFL Productions, LLC, doing business as NFL Films, is the film and television production company of the National Football League. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Davenport is a city in and the county seat of Scott County, Iowa, United States.
