Julian Raymond
Julian Raymond is an American songwriter and music producer. He has worked with various music artists, including Insane Clown Posse, Glen Campbell, Cheap Trick, Jennifer Nettles, Fastball, Albert Lee, Fleetwood Mac, Kottonmouth Kings, among others. Raymond has been a longtime producer for numerous albums for Cheap Trick. He co-wrote and produced song "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" for the soundtrack to the documentary '' Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me'' (2014). The song was nominated for Best Original Song at the 87th Academy Awards; the nomination was shared with Glen Campbell. It also won Grammy Award for Best Country Song, and received additional nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media. Insane Clown Posse, often abbreviated as ICP, is an American hip hop duo. Formed in Detroit in 1989 as a gangsta rap group, ICP's best known lineup consists of rappers Violent J (Joseph Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope (originally 2 Dope; Joseph Utsler). Insane Clown Posse is known for its elaborate live performances and theatrical horror-inspired lyrics. The duo has earned two platinum and five gold albums. ''The Harsh Light of Day'' is the third studio album by pop-rock band Fastball, released in September 2000 by Hollywood Records. It contained the single release "You're an Ocean," which spent eight weeks on the ''Billboard'' Bubbling Under chart and peaked at #101 during the fall of 2000. It also reached #25 on ''Radio & Records''. The album had a distinctly more layered and glossier sound than past albums, and featured guest appearances by Billy Preston, Brian Setzer and Michael Ward. However, despite positive reviews and extensive touring and promotional activity, the album failed to match the success of its predecessor, and would be the band's last studio effort for Hollywood Records. The Wallflowers is an American rock solo project of American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jakob Dylan. The Wallflowers were originally a roots rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1989 by Dylan and guitarist Tobi Miller. The band has gone through a number of personnel changes but has remained centered on Dylan. Members of The Wallflowers have gone on to be in the Foo Fighters, Ozomatli, and Gogol Bordello. "I Started a Joke" is a song by the Bee Gees from their 1968 album ''Idea'', which was released as a single in December of that year. It was not released as a single in the United Kingdom, where buyers who could not afford the album had to content themselves with a Polydor version by Heath Hampstead. This is the last Bee Gees single to feature Vince Melouney's guitar work, as he left the band in early December after this song was released as a single. The song's B-side was "Kilburn Towers", except in France, where "Swan Song" was used. "I Started a Joke" was written by Robin mainly, with help from Barry and Maurice Gibb on the bridge. Mutemath (sometimes styled as MuteMath or MUTEMATH) is an American alternative rock project founded by American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer Paul Meany. Originally co-founded as a band with Darren King in 2002, Meany decided to continue Mutemath as a solo project following King's departure in 2017. Mutemath draws heavily from influences in 1960s and 1970s soul, psychedelic rock, and jam band styles, utilizing vintage guitars and amplifiers as well as Rhodes keyboards, synthesizers, and other electronic instruments such as the keytar. ''Odd Soul'' is the third full-length release from New Orleans group Mutemath. The album was released by Teleprompt Records and Warner Bros. Records on October 4, 2011. It is the first album without original guitarist Greg Hill. Bassist Roy Mitchell Cardenas filled in on guitar duties during writing and recording. The album was recorded at Paul Meany's house in New Orleans with no involvement by record company executives. In various interviews band members stated that the process of creating the album was very collaborative with all members playing guitar. Tour Prior to the album's release, the band embarked on the "Odd Soul Introduction Tour", going back to smaller intimate club settings, rather than the mid-level theaters featured throughout the Armistice tour. ''Ghost on the Canvas'' is the sixty-first album by Glen Campbell, which was intended to be Campbell's farewell studio recording following him being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The production of the album was announced in March 2010. Campbell and his wife delayed informing the public about his illness until shortly before he embarked on the '' Glen Campbell Goodbye Tour.'' The Campbells decided to announce his diagnosis so that his audience would understand why the performer might mistake the lyrics to songs or behave erratically.
