Julian Drive
Julian Drive are an American contemporary Christian music and Christian alternative rock band from Athens, Georgia, and they were formed in 2002. Their members are Shane Bowers, Tyler Ivory, & David Sosebee. Their debut album came on the heals of winning the 2004 Exalting Him Talent competition and they released singles, "Famous" and "Any Way the Wind Blows" with Daywind Records. Their follow up,''My Coming Day'', came with Inpop Records, in 2009. This saw the single album breakthrough on the Billboard (magazine), ''Billboard'' magazine charts, and the song, "The Reason", place on the Christian Songs chart. ''My Coming Day'' is a studio album by Julian Drive. Inpop Records released the album on January 27, 2009. Julian Drive worked with Lynn Nichols, in the production of this album. Critical reception Awarding the album four stars for AllMusic, Jared Johnson writes, "My Coming Day is solid throughout and indicates a new yet familiar direction for contemporary Christian rock." Andre Dawn Goforth, rating the album three stars at ''Christianity Today'', states, "there's strong musical skill and passion, so there's some promise for future projects." Giving the album a seven out of ten from Cross Rhythms, Paul Keeble describes it as "a solid debut." Contemporary Christian music, also known as CCM, Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. Inpop Records is an independent contemporary Christian music record label based in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S. It was launched in July 1999 by Australians Peter Furler, Dale Bray, and Wes Campbell. The name was derived from the idea of wanting to highlight the talents of ''in''ternational ''pop'' artists, though they have signed an equal number of American artists. Cross Rhythms is a Christian media organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. It operates an FM and online radio station, produces radio shows sent internationally, and its website has resources about contemporary Christian music. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists.
